Director: Kati Melton
Kati Melton has been dancing for 11 years, beginning her freshman year of high school. While in high school, she danced for the school's varsity dance team and competed on a studio dance team. After graduating from high school, she began her undergraduate education at McKendree University, where she studied dance, and public relations. While in college, she taught dance at several local studios, coached and choreographed for local school dance teams, and participated in a dance company. Kati has seen her teams win many State Championship titles, and many of her students win local and national awards, with some going on to dance in college, on cruise ships and on Broadway. Kati has always had a passion for individuals with special needs, and is able to help individuals every day by being a special education teacher at a local high school. In 2018, she obtained her Master's Degree in Special Education from McKendree University. Kati truly believes that everyone should have the opportunity to dance, no matter what, and is so excited to offer this opportunity to the community!
